Lenka Lichtenberg, la renovada cantante canadiense, y su nueva orquesta: Lenka Lichtenberg & The Free Band, llega a Buenos Aires con las interpretaciones de su nuevo y cautivante estilo, un proyecto musical llamado: Vieja y nueva tradición judía de Europa con sabor a las tierras Bíblicas. Lenka Lichtenberg, the renowned Canadian singer and her new band: Lenka Lichtenberg & The Free Band, arrived in Buenos Aires with the interpretations of her new and captivating style, a musical project called: Old and new Europe's Jewish tradition with taste of Bible lands. She has recorded a new CD, new music and original Yiddish, with Middle Eastern sounds, an original invention of Klezmer which preserves the pure essence of these songs. |

Con el apoyo de las instituciones Beit Scopus y Hagshama, Gaston Kleiner logra convocar y unir a un grupo de músicos interesados en continuar con el desarrollo de las herencias culturales-musicales propias de las raíces judías y sus enlaces con la música contemporánea: rock, jazz, latino, reggae; donde la calidez, el humor, el profesionalismo y la buena energía de sus integrantes conviven con las nuevas corrientes del mundo artístico y la esencia más íntima de lo judío, expresada con alegría, para confluir en un fruto armónico excepcional. EXIL (Chile)
Exil es una joven banda de música que entrelaza el Klezmer con el rock y algunas tendencias de las músicas gitanas de los Balcanes, haciendo un cruce entre dos expresiones populares de la música universal y produciendo un eje temporal de tradiciones distintas pero afines. Su intenso y energético estilo, y la creación de temas originales sustentados en el Klezmer, propone un espacio más de reencuentro del klezmer con lo universal y lo popular para rescatar su importancia esencial y su carácter de acervo inmaterial de la humanidad. Exil is a young band that intertwines the Klezmer music with rock and some trends of Balkan Gypsy music, making a cross between two popular expressions of universal music and and producing a temporal axis of distinct but related traditions.Their intense and energetic style, and the creation of original songs supported by Klezmer, suggests a reunion of klezmer with the universal and popular styles, to rescue their essential importance and character of intangible heritage of humanity. |
Rosario Klezmer Band
Es un grupo formado por jóvenes músicos de Rosario y Santa Fé. Fue fundada a mediados de 2007 con el propósito de tocar música judía, para cubrir el vacío de bandas de ese género en Rosario y la región. En sus inicios el repertorio incluyó canciones tradicionales, música de fiestas (Freilaj) y poco a poco fue incursionando en la esencia del klezmer. Desde el 2008 la RKB viene realizando presentaciones en fiestas privadas, eventos en sedes comunitarias para diversas festividades y en lugares públicos. Is a group of young musicians of Rosario and Santa Fe. It was founded in mid 2007 with the purpose of playing Jewish music, to fill the void of bands of that genre in Rosario and the region. In its early repertoire included traditional songs, music of festivities -Freilach- and was gradually moving into the essence of klezmer. Since 2008, the RKB has been performing at private parties, events in community venues for various festivities and public places. |

Fanfarria Lui Craciun (Rumania)
La banda Lui Craciun proviene de Zece Prajini, un pueblo rumano en la frontera con Moldavia, y genera una energía fuerte y poderosa donde sea que se presente. Es considerada como una de las bandas más rápida de bronce en el mundo, perpetuando costumbres rumanas. Craciun Ivancia es el clarinetista y lider en la banda de Lui Craciun: él logra conservar esta música a través de las las generaciones, y la relación artística existente entre los músicos jóvenes y mayores. El repertorio de la banda de música está hecha de piezas tradicionales rumanas, invitando a las audiencias a viajar en el alma de la música Tzigane (gitana), apoyándose en ritmos delirantes y melodías emocionales. The Lui Craciun brass band comes from Zece Prajini, a Rumanian village on the Moldavian border, and generates a strong and powerful energy wherever it plays. It is considered as one of the fastest brass band in the world, perpetuating Rumanian customs. Craciun Ivancia is the clarinettist in the Lui Craciun band, and their leader : he is the keeper of that intergenerational music, and the artistic link between older and younger musicians. The brass band's repertoire is made of traditional Rumanian pieces, inviting the listeners to travel in Tzigane music soul, leaning on crazy rythms as well as emotional melodies. |
Shabatones
Shabatones toca música klezmer y jasídica sobre bases de ska y reggae jamaiquinos. Fue creada con el objetivo de animar y entretener eventos de la colectividad judía como casamientos, Bar Mitzva, agasajos y cumpleaños, y actualmente ha logrado ampliar su espectro, participando en todo tipo de eventos, donde prevalece la alegría. Shabbaton plays klezmer and Hasidic music on a foundation of Jamaican ska and reggae. It was created to encourage and entertain the Jewish community events as weddings, Bar Mitzvah, parties and birthday, and now has expanded its range, participating in all kinds of events, where joy prevails.

Klezfiesta Buenos Aires Band
A partir de la unión de dos agrupaciones dedicadas al klezmer, se crea la KBB, la cual conjuga diversos subestilos del género con recursos camarísticos y orquestales. Interpretando principalmente el repertorio clásico y tradicional, también incursiona en las composiciones más modernas, expresando así todos los estados de ánimo y atmósferas que sugiere esta música. La Klezfiesta Buenos Aires Band es una creación del mismo ideólogo de EMMKA/Klezfiesta: Pedro Banchik, un profundo investigador de este género milenario que ha aflorado con mucha fuerza en todo el mundo en los últimos 30 años. From the union of two groups dedicated to klezmer the KBB is created, which combines various sub-styles of the music with chamber music and orchestral resources. Primarily playing traditional classical repertoire and also ventures into more modern compositions thus expressing all moods and atmospheres suggested by this music. The Buenos Aires Klezfiesta Band is a creation of the ideologue of EMMKA / Klezfiesta: Pedro Banchik, a deep researcher of this ancient genre that has emerged strongly around the world in the last 30 years. |
Babel Orkesta
Babel Orkesta hace bailar a los ancestros que llevamos dentro. Una orquesta itinerante que toca entre el público, música gipsy, polka, tarantela, pericón y klezmer; con una instrumentación particular: tuba, acordeón, saxo soprano, guitarra, percusión, tres actores y una estética explosiva; haciendo de cada show una celebración, donde el baile y la diversión son protagonistas. Participó en Klezfiesta 2008, Festival de Otoño 2010, y realizó varias giras en Argentina y Uruguay. Babel Orkesta makes dance the ancestors within us. An itinerant orchestra that plays with the public; gipsy music, polka, tarantella, pericón and klezmer, with particular instruments: tuba, accordion, soprano sax, guitar, percussion, three explosive artists and an explosive aesthetics, making each show a celebration where dance and fun are the protagonists. The band participated in Klezfiesta 2008, Fall Festival 2010 and toured in Argentina and Uruguay.

Pequeña orquesta que ha desarrollado un estilo propio de klezmer, con un color del folclore de Europa del Este. Han realizado una búsqueda intensa, enérgica y comprometida del entrañable repertorio judío popular o a partir de composiciones propias. Se han presentado en los más diversos escenarios que van desde la feria de San Telmo, eventos privados, fiestas Bubamara, hasta teatros, los festivales más importantes del género en Argentina, Klezfiesta 2008 y 2009, Festival de Otoño Buenos Aires, Festival Buenos Aires Polo Circo y en varias ciudades de Argentina, Chile y Uruguay. Small orchestra has developed a unique style of klezmer, with a color of Eastern European folklore. Have conducted a thorough search, energetic and committed of the popular and endearing Jewish repertoire, or from their own compositions. Have been presented in many different settings ranging from San Telmo, private events, parties Bubamara, to theaters, the genre's most important festivals in Argentina, Klezfiesta 2008 and 2009, Fall Festival Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires Polo Circus Festival, and in several cities in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. |
Hernán Crespo Cuarteto
Cineasta y músico acordeonista, está presentando temas de su próximo disco "Andén". Luego de finalizar su carrera de Diseño en la UBA y recorrer festivales de cine en Europa y México, realizó trabajos en el campo audiovisual en Buenos Aires y en París. Actualmente se ha focalizado en la música folklórica argentina del litoral y otros géneros nativos, con una mirada cinematográfica, mezclando paisajes rurales y urbanos. Filmmaker and accordionist musician,he is presenting songs from his upcoming album "Platform." After finishing his career in design at the UBA and touring festivals in Europe and Mexico, he worked in the audiovisual field in Buenos Aires and Paris. Currently has focused on Argentina's folk music of Litoral, and other native genres, with a cinematic look, blending rural and urban landscapes. |

Zulema Benveniste & Ale Brider Band
Zulema Benveniste es cantante, docente, compositora en la musicalización de poemas y producción de canciones en diferentes agrupaciones y ha editado en forma independiente un Cd con canciones para niños. Se ha dedicado al estudio de la voz, y a la búsqueda de las expresiones que la conectan con sus raíces. Es por eso que ha formado el Ale Brider group para transmitir un repertorio de canciones en idish , desde su particular mirada a ésta musica entrañable cantada en la lengua que hablaron sus abuelos inmigrantes. Zulema Benveniste is a singer, teacher and composer and has also made music for poetry, production of songs and released a CD with songs for children. She has been involved in the study of voice, and the search for expressions that connect with her roots. That is why, she has formed the ALE BRIDER group to transmit a repertoire of songs in idish from its particular look that incorporates new elements to this music, in the language spoken by her immigrant grandparents. |

Murga Klezmer
La Murga Klezmer, creada por Victor Murstein y Daniel Laham, transita por el repertorio tradicional judío -sher, freilaj, idish, hebreo, ladino-, ofreciendo esta expresión musical desde la fusión con la murga porteña, folklore de Bs. As. La propuesta es la de un verdadero Carnaval Jasídico. En eventos sociales se caracteriza por tocar, cantar y bailar entre la gente. No es un grupo estático de escenario. “La Murga Klezmer”, created by Victor Murstein and Daniel Laham, it´s a band that travells along traditional jewish repertoire -sher, freilach. Yiddish, Hebrew and ladino-, offering this musical expression from fussion with porteña´s Murga (Buenos Aires Folk). The proposal is a true Chassidic Carnival. At social events they are characterized by playing, singing and dancing with the crowd. They are not a static group on stage.

Dovoie Sestri
Es la evocación de una imagen de la infancia, interpretando una música mezcla de frío y calor: la abuela María Romachesky de Siberia colocándose el pañuelo y el delantal para empezar la jornada, en el campo polvoriento de San Ramón –Santiago del Estero-, evocando el alegre extrañamiento ante el orígen, que conserva y pretende transmitir. En los temas escogidos y sus autores están todos esos vocablos mezclados en nuestro pueblo: polaco, arabe, vasco, gallego, ucraniano, ruso… y más. It evokes a vision of childhood, playing a music mix of cold and heat: Grandma Mary Romachesky covering her head with a tissue in Siberia and her clothes to start the day in the dusty field of San Ramon, Santiago del Estero, evoking the joyful estrangement from the origin, which preserves and aims to convey. The topics selected and their authors are all those words mixed in our people: Polish, Arabic, Basque, Galician, Ukrainian, Russian... And more. |

Jailight
Jailight es una banda que ofrece sonidos Reggae, fusionados con la esencia característica de la música Klezmer. De ésta forma conjuga las raíces de grandes melodías de música judía con roots de reggae. Transmite un mensaje íntegramente positivo y heterogéneo, por lo que su música no tiene restricciones de credos ni de edad. Jailight is a band that offers reggae sounds, fused with the characteristic essence of Klezmer music. In this way combines the roots of great melodies of Jewish music with roots of reggae. It transmits a completely positive and heterogenous message, reason why its music does not have restrictions of creeds nor of age. |
